Refresh Renovations recently held a seminar at the Sky House Design Center in Amersham, offering tips when planning your home renovation. We had a presentation from Saleem A Jalil, an award-winning architect and Refresh's very own representative from South West London, and talks by our friends from Watermark kitchen and bathrooms and a live cooking demonstration by Bora cooktop and extractors.
What was covered?
Saleem discussed the importance of planning a renovation from beginning to end, and the steps we take to help clients make those choices. The Refresh 5 step process was covered and the importance of communication between Refresh and the client explaining how they are updated throughout their entire renovation.
Max from Watermark spoke about the minor and major details that go into the process of planning a kitchen renovation. From where plug sockets are situated, to the amount of islands there will be, and the situation of wires and extractor fans, to the design of the taps and tiles.
Luke from Bora spoke about the history of how the company started, telling us that the creator of these high-end extractor fans were thought up and designed to allow maximum socialisation at family events in the kitchen, an easy cooking experience and a more modern fit with the theme of perhaps a newly renovated kitchen.
A cooking demonstration closed the seminar where Jack, the chef cooked some delicious steaks, along with a vegan option of marinated jackfruit and both options were served up with a rocket salad and chopped artichoke hearts. All guests enjoyed this delicious dish!
We look forward to hosting another seminar in the near future, keep an eye out for registrations!
