We will design your kitchen with your budget in mind. If your original ideas don’t fit into your planned budget, our designers and kitchen specialists will be able to advise you on alternative design approaches so that your kitchen can be updated in accordance with your style and budget. With that in mind, kitchen renovations we have carried out in the past have generally fallen with a $40,000 - $140,000* range. For a cost-estimate accurate to your specific requirements, please consult your local renovation specialists.
*Costs are rough estimates and are subject to change. For a fixed-quote accurate to your specific project, please consult your local Refresh Renovations specialist.
Should your kitchen design and build require resource or building consent, your Refresh Renovations specialist will be able to take care of the application process for you. If you plan to keep within an existing kitchen layout, consent likely won’t be needed. However, if your kitchen design includes structural changes or additions to your home, consent will likely be needed.
While we encourage customers to focus on long-term functionality over trends, it can be helpful to seek local inspiration in terms of materials and stylistic choices. Scandinavian design (modern, minimalistic fittings paired with black, white and wooden textures and colours) is very trendy at the moment. Partially for its simplicity but also for its practicality - it’s all about quality over quantity. Open-plan kitchens that flow to the outdoors are, of course, the most popular layout due to their social and family lifestyle benefits. Task lighting is essential, with pendant lights and LED strips being popular selections across many homes. Last but not least - materials. Hardwood flooring or luxury laminate is common. For benchtops, engineered stone is sleek and low-maintenance.
