Will I need planning permission?

As long as all of the work for the conversion project is completed along the interior of the garage to make it an inhabitable area then planning permission for a garage conversion is generally not required. Additionally, if the plans do not require an enlargement of the building, extra planning consent will not be necessary for the conversion.
