Are you struggling to find the right carpet for your home?

Choosing the perfect carpet for your home Back to top

As New Zealand’s leading carpet manufacturer’s for the last 50 years, we know a thing or two about carpet. Here are some handy tips to ensure you will love the choice you make.

Colour Back to top

When it comes to colour, carpet can appear up to 20% lighter when laid on the floor. So it’s vital to take samples home with you to see your potential carpet in daylight and artificial light. Remember, darker colours can make a room feel smaller while lighter colours can create a sense of spaciousness.

Fibre Back to top

Wool carpet is coming back into fashion over synthetic counterparts. Apart from being 100% renewable from local sources, wool is hypoallergenic, fire resistant and helps to naturally regulate moister, creating a warmer, drier and healthier home. To avoid fading over time, we recommend the fitting of UV protection to windows and doors.

Warranties Back to top

With Cavalier Bremworth wool carpet, you can relax knowing your carpet is covered by a six-point warranty package, including 15-year abrasive wear and lifetime food and beverage stain resistance limited warranty.

Style and Texture Back to top

There are three different types of construction, all with different features.

Cut pile carpets -  generally feel soft underfoot, and range from a resilient hard twist (which has the equivalent of a ‘perm’ to hold the twist in) such as our Charmeuse range, to a softer plush pile (where the fibres stand up straight) such as our luxurious Velluto range.

Loop pile carpets – offer stylish textures and designs, ranging from a minimalist appearance through to bold, unique patterns. One of our most popular ranges is Samurai with its skilfully crafted chunky loops.

Cut and loop pile carpets combine aspects of both of the above – the cut pile contrasting with the loops to create a distinctive pattern which will retain its crispness on the floor.
